Practical guide
Is there a fitness app that keeps health data private?
What privacy controls to look for in a fitness logbook, and how Prime Adapt handles sharing, export and deletion.
Privacy is a set of controls, not a slogan
Before choosing an app, check what it collects, who can see it, whether sharing is optional, how exports work and how you can leave. No app can promise that privacy is risk-free, so clear controls and honest limits matter.
What Prime Adapt lets a member control
- A member chooses which coaching categories to share; sharing is not automatic.
- Shared categories can be revoked later.
- Exports can be limited to the sections and date range the member selects.
- A member can delete their account and its records from inside the service.
- The app is a personal record-keeping tool, not a medical device or diagnostic service.
What to check before sharing
Confirm the recipient, choose only the categories needed for that conversation, review the date range and keep the exported copy in a place you trust. A trainer or coach should not need access to unrelated private records.
The honest answer
Prime Adapt is designed around member-controlled sharing and selective export, but you should still read the current privacy policy and make your own decision about any service that stores personal information.
